Thursday, April 24, 2008   (0 Comments)
On Saturday, May 10, the Pasadena City College Community Education Center invites the public for a morning of fun exercise with its 24th PCC-CEC 5K Run/Walk at the Rose Bowl. The annual event begins with a special 1K run for children ages 3-to-5 at 7:30 a.m. The official 5K Run/Walk starts at 8 a.m.

Trophies will be awarded to the first overall male and female runners and to the first overall walker. Medals will be handed out to the first three finishers in each of eight age divisions. The race fee is $18 and includes a commemorative t-shirt.

Proceeds from the 5K go to the CEC's student activity fund as the center raises money for its cultural enrichment programs.

Entry forms are available at the CEC administration office room (102), located at 3035 E. Foothill Blvd. in Pasadena, and at the PCC main campus in the Kinesiology, Health & Athletics Division. Persons interested in participating can register in advance at the CEC or on event morning at the Rose Bowl.
